ABBA Celebrates 25 Million Copies of Voyage Worldwide
One Year Anniversary of First Studio Album in Nearly 40 Years
Journey Begins in Sweden
ABBA, the iconic Swedish pop group, has reached a milestone with the sale of 25 million copies of their album "Voyage" worldwide. The album, released in November 2021, was the band's first new studio material in nearly four decades.
ABBA's journey began in the 1960s when Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson met in Sweden. They later joined forces with Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad to form ABBA, whose name is derived from the first letters of their first names.
The band became one of the most successful pop acts in history, with hits like "Dancing Queen," "Waterloo," and "The Winner Takes It All." They disbanded in 1982 but reunited for the release of "Voyage" in 2021.
The album was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, topping charts worldwide. It has now sold over 25 million copies, making it a testament to the enduring popularity of ABBA's music.
